The Brief

Sky was creating a brand new format series ‘Danny Dyer’s Caravan Park’ and wanted the show to be in as many households as possible for February 2026. As part of the activation planning, Sky’s marketing and social teams wanted to create some original digital concepts to play into a few core stakeholders within the project, revolving around sustainability and green holiday thinking as well as the show’s core creative.

Sky’s entertainment team reached out to Window Zebra to develop a series of creatives to highlight the show and both Danny and Dani working together in a brand new world to both of them. What happened next? Well… read on….

Pre Production

Window Zebra’s creative team got to work, creating a range of pitches at a range of different budget levels and creatives. In total we developed between 8-10 creatives to pitch back to the Sky creative team before heading to site to pitch to the big man himself - Danny.

We finally settled on the two briefs ‘Caravan Park Cocktails’ and the ‘Site tour’ where Danny and Dani would provide a behind the scenes look at the park and what was being developed.

When we initially pitched cocktails, Dani was the most excited about the idea, so we knew that she would be perfect to help bring it to life, leaving Danny to sample the spoils after the fact.

We reached out to Portia through a mutual contact, and she was very up for helping bring the concept to life, so on a weekend in July 2025, we headed over to the Isle of Sheppy for our first filming day.

The core crew consisted of:

  • Director

  • Producer

  • DOP

  • 3x Camera Operators

  • 1st AC

We were also supported by a large onsite team from Sky on the day which always makes productions flow slightly easier.

For anyone who is interested, both concepts were shot with 3x Sony FX6 cameras on Zoom lenses. Our RED Komodo X made an appearance to get the silky-smooth slow-motion shots for the cocktails, and we used 4x GoPro Hero 12’s to mount to the Golf buggy.

Production

Production was split into two shooting blocks to not disrupt a single shooting day too much. The cocktails concept came first working with a food stylist to source as many natural and local ingredients as possible. As soon as Danny and Dani broke for Lunch, we were ready and filmed the whole setup in 20 minutes.

The 2nd shoot (site tour) was slightly trickier and came later in the crew’s shooting schedule. It required a lot of script development in pre-production, but also a range of options on the day to suit Danny and Dani’s dynamic. With the electric buggy playing the star of the show and featuring ‘Arsenal Alan’, we managed to execute the shoot jumping from scene to scene in a matter of minutes and operating like a well-oiled machine.

Post Production

All the concepts were shot between July and September, but the show wasn’t due to air until February 2026, so the team had a slightly longer post process window than we were used to.

We worked with a post producer from Sky’s team, as well as the wider entertainment team through the process and as elements to the final show changed, so did our final deliverable videos.

All postproduction, edit, colour and sound mix were completed internally by Window Zebra’s in-house team.
